Description: IT Solutions Designer - Cardiff. Working for this large, market leading professional services group, you will be creating Solutions Designs to IT Projects, understanding the business benefits, processes and requirements as well as IT Architecture standards, delivering the appropriate Work Products and fulfilling the ‘Technical Lead’ role on projects (where necessary). You will also set and apply standards to the Technical Design of IT projects, and work closely with IT Architecture in order to ensure that a best practice/strategic approach is adopted. This role encompasses excellent variety; working on the Project Initiation stage to create the high level solution designs and enhancing the detail as requirements are clarified throughout the project; then, either handing over to a Technical Lead (but remaining on the project to approve the technical approach/deliverables) or act as the Technical Lead seeing the project through to delivery. You should ideally be educated to degree level with relevant experience and a strong technical solutions background. An understanding of Application Delivery methodologies and Project Management methodologies is essential coupled with excellent customer focus/stakeholder management. You will a have a positive, confident approach and be a good team player with first-rate communication and influencing skills.
