Description: Urgently Required - CardiffA temporary requirement has arisen in Central Cardiff for one of our Public Sector clients. Due to a permanent member of staff leaving, a vacancy has arisen for a Part-Qualified/QBE Management Accountant. The assignment is expected to last approximately 2-3 months but could potentially be extended. The main purpose of the role is to provide day to day financial support to the team, by producing and interpreting monthly and quarterly managment reports, whilst also carrying out an exchequer function. Key responsibilities will include:1) Link financial information, analysis and advice to performance reports and business plan targets2) Accurately record financial transactions, monitor expenditure and contribute to the objectives set3) Collate, monitor, distribute and/or carry out month and year-end accounting processes returns and reconciliations as appropriate4) Scrutinise invoices and expense claims, ensuring that they are correctly coded and authorised5) Assist in the preparation for internal and external audit processes6) Attend and provide support to the Branch Head at quarterly meetings with Director and Senior Managment Team to review expenditure profiles and business plan progressThe successful candidate ideally will be AAT Qualified and pursing their professional qualification in either ACCA or CIMA. My client will also consider applicants with no formal qualifications, yet have worked within a similar role and environment for a number of years.
