Description: Senior HR OfficerPreston, Lancashire£25,000-£30,000Our client is a privately owned food manufacturer. They have an exciting opportunity for a hands on HR officer to work at their head office in Preston. Job Purpose:To work closely with the MD and the Operations Manager to provide a sustained, highly effective H.R. service this enables the business to achieve its objectives.The Role:Implement and regularly review H.R. policies/procedures that promote good business practice and ensure that legal requirements are complied with. Assist Line Managers in the management of sensitive employment matters e.g. long-term sickness, performance capability etcMaintain employment contract templatesMaternity/Paternity: advice on rights, record keeping etc. ensuring both statutory and Company standards are met.Assist line Managers in interpreting and applying Company Policies e.g. Discipline/ GrievanceSkills & Experience:Minimum of 2 years experience within a busy H.R. Department (Manufacturing or similar environment))Competent PC skills, ideally Microsoft Word, Excel.
