Description: Looking for smart, interesting people to work in some of the following areas: Software analysis: How dependable is this software? We explore how modern analysis techniques such as formal methods, proof, model checking and static analysis can be used on real world problems. Safety and security assessment: Contribute to the assurance of our client's projects by assisting with hazard analysis, providing independent advice, and reviewing their safety and security arguments. We get to explore the behaviour of some of the interesting and important computer-based systems that you use every day. Research: When is an argument valid? We research ways of building assurance case documents that are believable, using techniques from graphical languages to philosophical logic. We are also at the leading edge of research in software analysis techniques, and we put our research into practice. Development: our software product is used around the world for developing structured documents, and we are always improving it and interfacing it with other systems. We develop in VB, Perl, Java, Python and C depending on the task. You will need a good degree in a relevant subject (maths, physics, computer science, human-factors related subjects, etc) and many of us have Masters Degrees or PhDs. Most of our new employees often do not have a safety background # we can provide suitable training in-house for anyone with technical aptitude. You will need to be able to write well and present technical material clearly, and as you will be working directly with clients, you will be friendly and confident and you will need to be comfortable with travelling.
