Description: Job Title: Principal Systems Engineer Location: Middlesex Salary: up to £50k +Bonus + Benefits A leading specialist business providing innovative system and product solutions for defence/aerospace applications worldwide are looking for a Principal Systems Engineer to undertake the engineering lead for data link integration, system validation and provide support to flight trials activities in line with the defence aircraft programme. The systems engineer in this role will be expected to use their own initiative and experience to identify technical risks and develop and propose potential solutions to mitigate against them. You will be expected to keep a detailed log of technical issues and their status and report daily. The systems engineer will be required to prepare documentation in support of the supply of the equipment to a major defence aircraft programme, in particular covering the SRD documentation, Validation and verification reports and plan, DDPs and other documentation as required. Desirable experience: · Experience of integration of aircraft stores in accordance with MIL STD 1760 · Experience of aircraft integration issues (hardware, software and environmental) · Experience of aircraft flight trials · Experience of analogue data links · Experience of safety case and hazard analysis documentation · Appreciation of aircraft certification processes and procedures · Appreciation of issues surrounding airborne electro optic systems & laser safety This is a fantastic opportunity to join a world leader, which values its employees and offers excellent career progression potential and will invest heavily in your own personal development!
