Description: Java(J2EE/J2ME)/C++ Symbian Software Engineer N.Ireland. Radius has an exciting opportunity for an experienced software engineer to work for a fast growing Mobile communications company.Key Responsibilities: Provide engineering support for a mobile application vendor to self-certify their service or application Proactively maintain user guides, documentation and test report templates Create and support a developer kit for integration Establish and maintain a developer portal (supported by engineering management) Manage and archive application vendor test reports Log bugs and proactively document improvements to automated software testing tools Generate weekly progress reports on usage and issuesEssential Requirements: Software engineering under-graduate degree and 5 years mobile software development expertise Required mobile software development skills in Java (J2ME/J2EE) and C/C++ Required experience developing mobile software projects in any of the following mobile O/S's and an aptitude to gain skills in the remaining: Symbian OS 7.x through 9.x (S60 and UIQ) and Windows Mobile 2003 through WM6.x Clear communication and reporting skills Ability to communicate effectively to a mobile software development community via BLOG's and external WiKi's Basic understanding of wireless data standards GSM/GPRS/EDGE WCDMA CDMA, 1xRTT, EvDO WiMAX Aptitude to quickly learn and extend: Interoperability device and software testing tools The company offers a good salary with benefits and career progression.
