Description: An amazing opportunity now available as a UI Web Manager working for a mobile network provider, based in Berkshire. You will be responsible for managing a team of UI developers and designers. The team are responsible for developing screen flows, storyboards and prototypes for mobile and web applications.This will be a customer facing role which will require interaction with key stakeholders on customer site. Other responsibilities include:*Collaboration with the solution design team, product managers, and backend software developers to design, build & maintain customer-facing UI elements, web pages, and sites. *Technical planning and decisions relating to front-end code, including CSS, XHTML, Javascript, and Open Source Java based technologies such as JSP / JSTL. Solution Architect role for web development projects.*Perform the role of line manager to the permanent members of the team setting objectives, performing reviews and approving timesheets.*Collaborate with Product Manager, web designers and software engineers to ensure design vision is maintained and final mark-up is standards compliant.*Liaise with customer's Global Brand group to source consistent branding and imagery across their product as appropriate.Technical competencies needed:*Competent in Interaction / UI design*Development and design of content for small-screen devices and appreciation of limitations of mobile device rendering with limited interactions*Working knowledge of HTML 4.01, XHTML, CSS to level 2, JavaScript, DOM2*Skilled in using JSP/ Java Server Faces / Tiles to create a structured and efficient front-end templating system.*Strong knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and image optimisation for webIf you would like to apply for this role, please send your CV to Coral Groves at coral.groves@projectpeople.com.
