Description: Account Manager - IT Sales - Basingstoke £15k + OTE £28k One of the UKs longest established IT and Technology distributors has a rare opening within their sales team for an enthusiastic individual who is looking to forge a career within IT sales. They service their enormous, UK-wide customer base from state of the art facilities based in Basingstoke. They have grown their business significantly in recent years based on upon foundations of professional customer service, consistency of execution and integrity. The role:- The role will involve selling the company's assets to a wide variety of IT resellers. This will be done by identifying and prospecting new business opportunities as well as selling into accounts that are already held by the company. The role will involve market research and you will have to develop a sound knowledge of the market place in order to succeed. Duties:- * To build and maintain strong customer relationships. * To build and maintain a sound market knowledge. * To proactively seek and develop new business opportunities. * To provide the highest standard of service to client's. * To sale the company's assets whilst maintaining the highest possible margin. * To sell new business into existing accounts. Experience and skills:- * 12 months proactive, outbound telephone based sales experience. * Excellent communication skills. * Excellent rapport building skills. * The ability to influence and persuade others. * Excellent commercial acumen.
