Description: Our client is one of worlds largest and most recognisable construction/project/cost management consultancies with a network of over 50 offices. Their reputation has been build upon delivering high end services to blue chips clients on major projects up to the value of £500M. In the UAE they are currently involved on major high spec and value developments in the commercial, leisure, residential and retail sectors. With an ever growing presence in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, we have been tasked with the responsibility of securing Cost Managers to be part of their expansion in the region. The predicted and forecasted growth plans will give candidates the opportunity to enhance and excel their careers. You will be initially be working on site within an established cost management team, the project is a landmark leisure scheme with retail and recreational elements to the scheme. This is a £500M project for a leading US client, your duties will include. Managing estimating and cost planning activitiesManaging the procurement processManaging main contractors works and the any arising variationsEnsuring the project is delivered to time and specificationValue engineering and managing riskEnsuring that final accounts are negotiated and agreedManaging the client and consultant relationship Working alongside the cost and project management teamsThe suitable candidates will be preferably degree qualified, be a member of the RICS and have experience of working as a Cost Manage for a cost consultancy, construction management or client side firm. Experience of working in the Middle East would be preferable but is not essential.
