Description: IS Technician - Flagship Training LimitedWe are currently looking to recruit an IS Technician to maintain the HMS Sultan computer networks as laid down in the Higher Level Agreement IS Contract and provide assistance to other Establishments within the Southern region, based at HMS Sultan, Gosport, Hampshire.The responsibilities of this position include: Maintaining Naval Training Command (NTC) and Flagship supplied IS Equipment and consumables Providing regular system backups as agreed by the IS Site Team LeaderSupporting the maintenance of the site networks to the standards laid down by the Design Authorities To maintain monochrome and colour printersMaintaining the security of the computer networks in accordance with the Establishment's security and security operating proceduresProviding and maintaining drawings, records, certification and written schemas related to the IS Service.To resolve user problems.Our ideal candidate will:Be confident and self motivated Comfortable with pressure and change and be able to display high standards of confidentiality and diplomacyPossess proven PC Engineering and networking capabilities Have a sound knowledge of Windows NT/2000/2003 Server, Workstation and back office products Have proven experience of IT network administration Hold a Degree or equivalent in Computer Science Have a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office Professional products Have previous Helpdesk or Service Desk experiencePlease note that this role will require some flexibility from the IS Technicians to visit HMS Collingwood, Fareham, Hampshire, when required.Flagship offers an excellent benefits package, including a contributory pension, annual bonus scheme, private healthcare at discounted rates and childcare vouchers.The closing date for applications is 18th June 2008.If you are interested in this role please apply online using the following web address:http://www.flagshipcareers.co.uk/Vacancy.aspx?postid= 11810The recruitment process will start immediately.
