Description: Quant Analyst/Trader is urgently required to join my client, a recognised financial house based in NYC. The role is placed within their established FX team, which is expanding due to excellent financial results in the last quarter. The position will focus upon developing and maintaining trading strategies for the FX desk. The role is a split position and will involve working as a Quant analyst and trader. It is therefore essential that the successful candidate has excellent communication skills and is flexible in their approach to their work. You will have up to two years experience in a FX trading or research role and will have excellent programming skills in a vector based language e.g. Matlab etc. The successful candidate will have an exceptional academic background and will have strong knowledge on forecasting research. Knowledge of SQL, Unix/Linux will be highly advantageous as well as experience of working with High frequency data.
