Description: Rebuild / Repair Engineer Rebuild/Repair Engineer WorkshopMain Duties• Carry out detailed machine pre and final inspections• Carry out new machine pre-delivery checks and modifications• Repair and overhaul used and customer equipment to required specification/standard• Repair and overhaul engines, transmissions and hydraulic units to specification/standard• Diagnose and rectify faults on engine, transmission, hydraulic and electrical systems• Assist in the loading and unloading of equipment as authorised by Workshop Supervisor• Be able to work to the highest health and safety standards Skills/Knowledge• Skilled and competent Engineer, preferably apprentice trained• C & G Plant Engineering/NVQ level 1,2 and 3 or equivalent• Good knowledge of heavy construction plant and equipment• Computer literate and a working knowledge of computerised diagnostics• Current driving license The successful candidate will be enthusiastic with a positive attitude.Field Service Engineer Field Service Engineer site basedMain Duties• Carry daily/weekly/monthly machine inspections• Carry out machine PM servicing on site• Carry out on site repairs and modifications to the highest standard• Diagnose and rectify faults on engine, transmission, hydraulic and electrical systems• Carry out scheduled engine, transmission and hydraulic unit replacement on site• Be able to work to the highest health and safety standardsSkills/Knowledge• Skilled and competent Engineer, preferably apprentice trained• C & G Plant Engineering/NVQ level 1,2 and 3 or equivalent• Good knowledge of heavy construction plant and equipment• Computer literate and a working knowledge of computerised diagnostics• Current driving license• Good customer service skillsThe successful candidate needs to be enthusiastic with a positive attitude.Site based Field Service Engineer start rate £19,620 and then progression step one £21,170 and step two £22,290, with van with this job.The progression steps are subject a skills analysis tests and there is normally a year in-between steps, the working week is 39 hours, overtime is at time and a half for the week days and Saturday and Sundays at double time.With overtime the average weekly hours is 55 hours per week – this equates to a £40,000 per annum package.
