Description: Software & Integration Engineer - Reading - £35k to £45 depending on experienceKey responsibilities: * The timely implementation of software according to a high-level design and under the leadership of a design authority* The integration of the developed artefacts into the our clients Managed Services environment,* The production of relevant technical documentation in relation to the work carried out.Key Skills and Experience:Essential:* Exposure and/or knowledge of Agile development methodologies and Object Oriented Design (OOD),* Strong Java knowledge and experience,* J2EE (in particular, EJB`s): 1+ year experience,* Development with the MVC pattern (particularly, Jakarta Struts),* Perl and/or Python and/or Ruby: 1+ year experience,* Tomcat,* JBoss AS,* Subversion, Ant and Eclipse,* Software deployment under Linux/Apache/Tomcat.* Skilful at translating customer service requests* Excellent problem solving skills* Good organisation skills * Attention to detail Desirable skills would also be:* Exposure to Hibernate and other persistence frameworks* Exposure to caching technologies such as Oracle Coherence or JBoss Cache.Person Specification:* Can be customer facing * Excellent team player* Resourceful and adaptable* Quick at picking up new technical skills* High level of technical understanding of all the services that our client delivers to its customers and its supporting infrastructure.
