Description: Design Engineer to undertake the concept , outline and detail design of Highways, sewerage and drainage schemes under the direction of the Lead design Engineer. Responsible for work of graduate engineers and technicians.Essential ExperienceMinimum of five years experience working for a civil engineering design consultancy as a design engineering working on private sector client projects such as commercial, industrial, residential and retail development schemes.Should be experienced in the use of SUDs techniques for surface water drainage and have experience in providing the design information required to obtain Highway, Local and Sewerage Authority approvals under Section 38, 106 and 104 agreements.Background InformationShould have experience of being the main contact point for and taking the lead with clients and in dealing with Authoritive bodies.Essential QualificationsChartered/Graduate engineer with a good degree in Civil EngineeringPersonal CharacteristicsOf good character, able to lead and direct young graduate engineers, able to communicate well in both verbal and written form with clients and colleagues.Special ConditionsShould be able to drive and have passed the driving test.
