Description: Our client, a leading public sector Trust, is looking to recruit a Head of Engineering on an interim basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a prestigous organisation with some challenging performance targets.The key purpose of this role is to manage the Trust’s approved engineering infrastructure programme. This will include all engineering plant and machinery, central boiler house, power plant operation, electrical power distribution and provide engineering support for clinical services to ensure that stakeholders can operate in a safe environment.The engineering infrastructure programme will operate in conjunction with individually managed capital projects programme, estate strategy delivery programme, and the building maintenance programme.The successful applicant will be required to manage pre-planned works, all ad-hoc reactive works, all engineering projects and all associated resources, processes and procedures related to maintaining the Trust’s engineering infrastructure at optimum levels of safety and efficiency. You will have responsiblity for the budgetary control of staff labour, materials, maintenance contracts, energy and utilities.
