Job Description for: Contracts Manager LondonSalary: £30,000Closing Date: 9th June 2008Reporting to:Operations DirectorRegional ManagerContracts ManagerSummary of duties:Reporting to the Regional manager, the Contracts Manager will be responsible for managing and maintaining business contracts.The Contracts Manager will be required to maintain good working relationships with contract customers and to work in partnership with Operations Supervisor and depot staff to ensure that the project is delivered smoothly and to customer’s satisfaction.Main Duties:Control and deliver projects to meet customer specifications (quality, cost, time, etc.) such that all budget, risk, specification, project timescales, customer and business objectives are met in full.Attend pre-start and progress meetings to specify service level agreement and expectations.Ensure that detailed plans are developed commensurate with the overall project plan such that material and resources can be procured and scheduledEnsure that the contract is delivered in a professional manner to the required specification and within agreed timeframesSupervise and manage labour onsite (including sub contractors) delegating work as and when required.Develop loyal relationships with all existing and potential customers, with a view to achieving repeat business and liaise with potential customers to clarify information required.Provide technical advice and explanations to customers and clients when appropriate.Line management of site management, monitor site management progress and provide direct assistance and support as necessaryManage liaisons, interfaces and contacts with customers and stakeholders such that positive and ongoing customer relationships are maintainedManage all correspondence related to the projectEnsure that safe working practices and safety procedures are fully implemented across the site/project/contractChair site meetings; progress meetings, project reviews with customer, sub-contractors and/or supplierEnsure customers are alerted to any production/quality problems that may be incurred whilst working on the job.Work closely with customers and Operations Managers to generate solutions that enhance the working relationship and improve Company and personal performance.Assist operational staff and managers in understanding client needsPersonal Profile:Excellent communication skills, both written and verbalIT literate to advanced levelExcellent attention to detail skillsHigh level of customer service valuesAbility to motivate and guide othersExcellent time management and organisation skills Organisation of the priorities of the departmentAbility to encompass the Company ValuesProven management skillsProven experience within the construction industry/ building industry.Experience of reading from drawings and bills of quantitiesKnowledge of the energy efficiency industry
