Role Based in our client’s Kilkenny Office, you will provide a full efficient quantity surveying to a range of private and public sector clients within the construction industry Reports to Office Director Role Responsibilities Dealing with Client and Main Contractors / Sub-contractors Duties will include but not limited to the following; Undertaking cost analysis as per client requirements Preparation of early stage budgets and detailed cost plans Preparing risk and value management and cost control Preparing tender and contract documents including Bills of Quantities Identifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks Preparing and analysing tender documents Establishing and operating cost and financial control systems Analysing outcomes and compiling progress reports Valuing completed work and arranging payments Preparation and negotiation of final accounts Assisting in establishing client requirements and undertaking feasibility studies accordingly Knowledge Skills & Experience SkillsAbility to undertake full QS role Numerically accurate Familiarity with forms of contract Ability to advise clients on project costs Knowledge and understanding of the component parts of a project and overall construction/fit out costs Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) are essential for this senior client facing role. Ability to supervise, guide and care for a dedicated team of subordinate staff The ability to identify and respond appropriately to new business opportunities and foster strong relationships both internally and externally.
