Description: This outstanding contractor is looking to recruit an experienced Mechanical Estimator to be based in the Midlands office.Reporting to the Estimating Manager, the role will involve:Reviewing enquiry documentation with the Estimating Manager to fully determine and understand the conditions of tenderQuantifying the extent of the work involved and the provision of innovative cost solutionsEnsuring all work follows Company procedures, including SHEQ proceduresReviewing commercial/technical risks associated with enquiries to find the best solutionAddressing key client requirements and expectations to assist development of a productive, good working relationshipIdentify potential risks/opportunities within the scope of enquiries receivedFinalising prime costs and preparing agreed tender submission documentation.Candidates must have experience in related building services estimating, have knowledge of industry safety standards and must be competent in the following computer applications:Microsoft Word and Excel Estimating software, such as Estimation The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the following competencies:Good communication skillsTeamworkInitiativeThere is a defined career path available to the right individual along with the oportunity to work on the more exciting projects in the industry.For further details email onkar@nowrecruitment.com or call 0121 665 4000.
