Description: This is an excellent opportunity for an Assitant Merchandiser or exceptional Merchandise Assistant to join a leading UK retailer. This role is ideal for those with previous merchandising expertise gained within a fast paced merchandising environment. Working with the Merchandiser on homeware you will be responsible for delivering sales and profit targets through effective replenishment and response to performance within the department. Responsibilities will include; - Assist the Merchandiser in defining the number of products to be ranged - Identifying slow selling lines and reporting and taking action on your findings to minimise mark down risk - Be aware of late/insufficient availability of new ranges - Work closely with Supply Chain to resolve out of stocks - Working closely with buyers to focus on product development The ideal candidate will need to have merchandising experience ideally gained within a fast paced retail environment. It is desirable but not essential for applicants to be educated to degree level or equivalent and be computer literate.
