Description: Senior Web Application Developer - Swindon£28,000 to £34,000 per annum (dependant on experience) plus Excellent BenefitsThis is a fantastic opportunity for you, an experienced Web Applications Developer, to join a fast growing lively organisation based in Swindon. You will be responsible for applications which support Web based business processes including: specification, development, testing, implementation and ongoing maintenance.You must have 3-5 years experience with the following:-Working with users to define Web based requirements-Working with 3rd parties-Experience with .NET DevelopmentYour key responsibilities include the following:-Development of Web-based application solutions against functional and technical specifications-First line support for work orders raised against existing Web based applications-Supporting the Member group hosting service-Implementing software changes to the production environment-Managing reasonably sized items of work-Supporting and developing existing online application systems and formsTo be successful in this position, you must have the following:-.NET development (preferably C# and/or VB) experience-Proficient in the use of Visual Studio-Ability to code using PHP and ASP-Proficient in the use of XML-Ability to develop and use Web Services-Strong understanding of Apache Web Server, Microsoft IIS Server and .NET Framework 2.0-Strong knowledge and awareness of development standards (e.g. W3C)-Strong understanding of Internet and Server Security (including use of SSL and Encryption)-Competent with MS Office productsKnowledge and/or experience with the following would be extremely beneficial:-Oracle Databases-Delphi-Web Servers - Apache and Microsoft-SQL Server and MySQLYou must also be a Certified Developer in at least one of the following:-Microsoft Certified Application Developer (MCAD)-Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS)-Microsoft Certified Professional Developer (MCPD)You must have excellent communication skills, verbally and in writing, with the ability to work under own initiative and within a team based environment.
