Description: Our client is a major Law firm employing some 1200 people in offices throughout the country.They are looking for an experienced and creative Web Developer to take responsibility for the enhancement and management of the group’s ITC systems to better represent the Firm’s products & services.Reporting into the IT Director you will also have responsibility for the management and development of 2 junior developers.Specific CandidateRequirements:·Experience of ASP and ASP.net·Good knowledge of SQL server·Excellent general IT skills·Excellent programming & problem solving skills·EnthusiasmJob Role:·Creation of dynamic, interactive web sites that effectively showcase the firms products & services.·Participation in product development, requirements, analysis, design and technical management.·Writing project specifications/plans/initial design layouts for project requests.·Working with Fee Earners and clients to develop the Firm’s ITC systems.·Development of thorough testing procedures for applications as part of the project plan and ensure applications are tested correctly before release.·Liaising with internal and external clients during the design and development cycle.·Design, development and enhancement of web applications and corporate websites. ·Integration of complementary technologies as they emerge. ·To effectively manage the web development team on a daily basis.·To ensure leadership and guidance is given to junior team members at all times.·Management of day to day processes and ownership of workloads and projects in the ITC Director’s absence.·Recruitment of ITC staff in relation to the business needs.·Regular monitoring of the development of the team.Ensuring the training needs are assessed and met.The position offers an excellent working environment and an attractive package with the opportunity for further progression for the right candidate.
