Description: Our Client, a successful Accountancy and Business consultancy based in Edinburgh City Centre, is currently recruiting for an additional Tax Assistant in their Tax Department. This is an exciting opportunity within this department. The main function of the role is to provide high quality tax advice and business solutions to Clients. Main duties: - Assisting with the preparation of client tax returns, ensuring the correct information is submitted to the Inland Revenue in a timely manner - Completion of Tax Computations and VAT returns- Liaising with Clients and ensuring service level agreements are adhered to - Communicating with clients on tax compliance issues and ensuring that deadlines are met - Corresponding with Inland Revenue via telephone, letter and emails - to resolve queries- Assisting with Client Payrolls and P11ds- Supporting Managers on tax planning and getting involved in accounts preparation - Assisting manager with billing and ad hoc accounts work. The successful candidate will have good attention to detail, in-depth Tax knowledge, strong analytical skills and be a great team player. Our Client is looking for individuals who are computer literate and able to pick up the Taxation package easily.
