Our client is an international conference company producing in excess of 1200 events attracting some 100,000 senior executives per year globally. Their Australian office is a growing organisation that has a unique culture of empowerment and a strong belief in the personal development of employees at all levels of the business. Sales Executives are responsible for selling conference and seminar delegate places to senior level executives of public and private sector companies. This involves meeting with the conference producer to be briefed on the intellectual content of the conference, researching the potential market, cold calling via the phone, sending e-mail proposals and closing deals. The sales department is a high energy team working towards individual and collective targets using a tailored sales methodology on which you will be thoroughly trained. Main Duties and ResponsibilitiesTo sell conference and workshop delegate places at the company's conference and seminars in line with targets set by Sales Manager; Sales DirectorAttend sales brief meetings and follow-up briefs with conference producer Research companies and generate call lists for potential clientsDevelop and deliver value proposition (VP) with Sales Manager; Sales Director for each conference soldTo identify, call, qualify and sell to a potential delegate in accordance with the company's sales methodologyChase payments of confirmed bookings within 7 days of booking dateProvide feedback and ideas on product quality and process improvementsWork closely with Sales Manager; Sales Director to achieve weekly and monthly sales targetsBuild strong customer relations with clients to ensure repeat and ongoing businessMaintain accurate records of sales figures and paid accountsBehaviors and Skills RequiredSales Experience preferredArticulate and capable of speaking to senior decision makersEffective and persuasive communicatorTarget orientated team playerAbility to generate highly targeted leadsWillingness to learn and adopt the company's sales methodologyMaintain and demonstrate an interest in current business issuesMaintain a positive work ethic at all timesChampion and uphold the company's core values: Integrity; Innovation; Teamwork; Talent Development
